Saint Luke 10, 1-12

The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit.
He said to them, «The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.
Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.
Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way.
Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’
If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.
Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another.
Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you,
cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.'»
Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say,
‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.’ Yet know this: the kingdom of God is at hand.
I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town.

San Lucas 10, 1-12

El Señor designó a otros setenta y dos, y los envió de dos en dos para que lo precedieran en todas las ciudades y sitios adonde él debía ir.
Y les dijo: «La cosecha es abundante, pero los trabajadores son pocos. Rueguen al dueño de los sembrados que envíe trabajadores para la cosecha.
¡Vayan! Yo los envío como a ovejas en medio de lobos.
No lleven dinero, ni alforja, ni calzado, y no se detengan a saludar a nadie por el camino.
Al entrar en una casa, digan primero: ‘¡Que descienda la paz sobre esta casa!’.
Y si hay allí alguien digno de recibirla, esa paz reposará sobre él; de lo contrario, volverá a ustedes.
Permanezcan en esa misma casa, comiendo y bebiendo de lo que haya, porque el que trabaja merece su salario. No vayan de casa en casa.
En las ciudades donde entren y sean recibidos, coman lo que les sirvan;
curen a sus enfermos y digan a la gente: ‘El Reino de Dios está cerca de ustedes’.»
Pero en todas las ciudades donde entren y no los reciban, salgan a las plazas y digan:
‘¡Hasta el polvo de esta ciudad que se ha adherido a nuestros pies, lo sacudimos sobre ustedes! Sepan, sin embargo, que el Reino de Dios está cerca’.
Les aseguro que en aquel Día, Sodoma será tratada menos rigurosamente que esa ciudad.

Saint Luke 9, 57-62

As Jesus and His disciples were proceeding on their journey someone said to him, «I will follow you wherever you go.»
Jesus answered him, «Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.»
And to another he said, «Follow me.» But he replied, «Lord, let me go first and bury my father.»
But he answered him, «Let the dead bury their dead. But you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.»
And another said, «I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home.»
Jesus answered him, «No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the kingdom of God.»

San Lucas 8, 57-62

Mientras Jesús y sus discípulos iban caminando, alguien le dijo a Jesús: «¡Te seguiré adonde vayas!».
Jesús le respondió: «Los zorros tienen sus cuevas y las aves del cielo sus nidos, pero el Hijo del hombre no tiene dónde reclinar la cabeza».
Y dijo a otro: «Sígueme». El respondió: «Permíteme que vaya primero a enterrar a mi padre».
Pero Jesús le respondió: «Deja que los muertos entierren a sus muertos; tú ve a anunciar el Reino de Dios».
Otro le dijo: «Te seguiré, Señor, pero permíteme antes despedirme de los míos».
Jesús le respondió: «El que ha puesto la mano en el arado y mira hacia atrás, no sirve para el Reino de Dios».

Saint John 1, 47-51

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, «Here is a true child of Israel. There is no duplicity in him.»
Nathanael said to him, «How do you know me?» Jesus answered and said to him, «Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.»
Nathanael answered him, «Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.»
Jesus answered and said to him, «Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.»
And he said to him, «Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see the sky opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.»

San Juan 1, 47-51

Al ver llegar a Natanael, Jesús dijo: «Este es un verdadero israelita, un hombre sin doblez».
«¿De dónde me conoces?», le preguntó Natanael. Jesús le respondió: «Yo te vi antes que Felipe te llamara, cuando estabas debajo de la higuera».
Natanael le respondió: «Maestro, tú eres el Hijo de Dios, tú eres el Rey de Israel».
Jesús continuó: «Porque te dije: ‘Te vi debajo de la higuera’, crees . Verás cosas más grandes todavía».
Y agregó: «Les aseguro que verán el cielo abierto, y a los ángeles de Dios subir y bajar sobre el Hijo del hombre.»

Saint Luke 9, 46-50

An argument arose among the disciples about which of them was the greatest.
Jesus realized the intention of their hearts and took a child and placed it by his side
and said to them, «Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.»
Then John said in reply, «Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow in our company.»
Jesus said to him, «Do not prevent him, for whoever is not against you is for you.»

San Lucas 9, 46-50

Entonces se les ocurrió preguntarse quién sería el más grande.
Pero Jesús, conociendo sus pensamientos, tomó a un niño y acercándolo,
les dijo: «El que recibe a este niño en mi Nombre, me recibe a mí, y el que me recibe a mí, recibe a aquel que me envió; porque el más pequeño de ustedes, ese es el más grande».
Juan, dirigiéndose a Jesús, le dijo: «Maestro, hemos visto a uno que expulsaba demonios en tu Nombre y tratamos de impedírselo, porque no es de los nuestros».
Pero Jesús le dijo: «No se lo impidan, porque el que no está contra ustedes, está con ustedes».
