Information and Activities

To the Institute, Convento de la Sagrada Familia holds a history that can never be forgotten.  It was at this place that the First General Chapter in 1934 was held. From then on, this convent became a prominent place as the Congregation made it into a Novitiate House. It became the home of the Novices for 35 years. To make the place functional, it was converted into St. John Macias House of Prayer. Years passed; it then became a Kindergarten School. Then it was converted again into a Novitiate in 1984. Nevertheless, when the Novices left, the school opened in 1998 with a name Dominican School. This change gave way for this place to return to its very root and origin. The old folks in this town cannot forget that this place was originally a school built in 1911 with a name Colegio de la Sagrada Familia, a school for the rich and the famous.

Today, Dominican School offers complete Pre-School to Senior High School education to Sta. Rita residents and nearby towns.
