Dominican International School offers a modified American Curriculum for primary, middle and secondary students; with English as medium of instruction in all classes. It was previously a United States Government (D.O.D.) a designated school for military dependents of the United States Forces. In 1979, with the withdrawal of the American Forces from Taipei, DIS became an international school that allows the admission of students of all nationalities. DIS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC, USA).
